I started this blog to share some of my common sense. I feel my opinions are good and other people may need to hear them (or I may be a tad bit narcissistic). You may agree and even feel the same, but sometimes they are too long to post on Facebook and they may offend some people, and/or make you cry.
Here is an example of common sense: Crying should be reserved for death and severe pain.
Occasionally, a few tears can leak out when you see something sad on a movie, read something touching in a book, or hear something moving in music, but otherwise- no crying!
If you have time to sit around crying you need to get up and get moving. Do you have a job? Do you have kids or grand kids? Is your house clean? Do you have pets? Does your yard need mowing? Is there a nursing home near your house where you can go sit with some people? Do your neighbors need help? Are you a member of a church?
Do you not feel like doing anything? If not, hop on down to the doctor and get some medicine. There is no point in sitting around wallowing around in self pity when we have access to every antidepressant known to man. There is no need to be bored when there is everything in the world that needs doing.
A good thing to keep in mind is “No one can help you if you don’t choose to help yourself”. This is called truth, common sense. Sometimes, it might feel like getting an injection of medication, or taking a shot of liquor; it hurts at first, but then it helps. Please don’t start drinking, because goodness gracious knows that is not what I just wrote.
